"Well, I wouldn't put it exactly that way, but I do watch over the Tower of Spirits" -Anjean

Anjean is a member of the tribe and is possibly the leader. She is also in charge of protecting the Tower of Spirits. Helping Link in every way possible, Anjean detests the thought of Malladus reigning over New Hyrule.

 History Edit

When Tetra and her band of pirates discovered New Hyrule, Anjean and the other Lokomos were the people that greeted them. The Spirit Flute, as it originally belonged to Anjean, was the Lokomos gift to Tetra and the Royal Family. She was the teacher of Byrne until he was left in search of great power, since it was denied him by the Spirits of Good. He ended up going to Malladus for the power he was searching for.

In-gameEdit

In the Tower of Spirits, when Link first meets her, Anjean tells Link and Zelda of Malladus and the story of the Spirit Tracks. This is also when she tells Zelda the reson why Malladus is in need of the Princess's body; it is the only one suitable, as it contains the Power of the Spirits. She tells Link to restore the Spirit Tracks and secure the Rail Maps. The duo must also seek out the Sanctuary Lokomos.

Early in the game, to leave the Tower, Link must speak to Anjean. Once Malladus has been ressurected, she is found in the Passenger Car, and Zelda is the one to talk to.

Despite being old and small, Anjean seems to be a capable fighter. She battles Byrne at the top of the Tower of Spirits while Zelda and Link are restoring the Fire Realm's Spirit Tracks.

At the end of the game, Anjean and the other Lokomos return to the heavens because, as Anjean put it, the humans no longer needed the Lokomos to guide them. During the end credits, when Zelda looks out of her window for Link, Anjean's wheelchair can be seen in Zelda's room.

End Spoiler!

EtymologyEdit

Her English name, Anjean, likely comes from the word "engine" as a reference to the use of trains in the game.

Sharin, her Japanese name, means "wheel" in Japanese, as another reference to the use of trains.
